Make a BPM delay calculator app with one sentence

This example is from the Trinidad and Tobago ad video. A DJ in San Fernando who plays music at weddings and parties, and used to work out ms in their head to match the echo delay to the beat, made this app.

First prompt

Make me an app for my DJ sets, I put the BPM, and it gives one beat in milliseconds, 60000 divided by the BPM
App name
Soca Delay
Suggested features picked before building
Saved Tempos, Half/Double

In the original recording, it took about 1 min 5 sec to build.

The app it made

  • Clearing the sample value 120 and entering 126 showed “Delay time at this tempo 476.19 ms” right away. The number entered is an example for filming.
  • Tapping “Save tempo” added 1 entry to the saved tempos.

Change request

Add a line with how many seconds 16 bars last, 4 beats in a bar

After the change

  • A new line appeared: “16 bars (4 beats per bar): 30.48 seconds.”
  • This tempo was saved too.

In the original recording, the change took about 40 sec.

When reopened

Save, close, and open it again, and the 2 saved tempos are still there.

Try writing it like this for a similar app

  • When I enter the BPM, show how many ms one beat, half a beat, and two beats are.
  • Save song names with their BPM, and show them in a list.
  • When I enter a number of bars, tell me how many seconds that is.

These are sample prompts, not real cases. What you get depends on what you ask for.

How to make it

  1. Type the app you want in one sentence in the box on the home screen.
  2. Answer “Give your app a name.” with the name you want.
  3. From the features BYVE AI suggests, pick only the ones you want.
  4. Tap “Build for 1 token” to build the app, then tap “Open app” to use it right away.
  5. Write what you want to change in the chat, and the same app gets updated. A change also uses 1 token.

Good to know

  • Each new app or change uses 1 token. You get 2 tokens when you first install, and you can get up to 3 more every 24 hours by watching ads. There are no in-app purchases.
  • The apps you make and what you enter are saved on your phone, and apps you’ve already made open without internet. Features that fetch outside information, like weather and maps, need internet.
  • It works on Android 8.0 or later and iOS 17.0 or later, and there’s no sign-up.
